“Asking big questions to improve the quality of life in disadvantaged communities”

Defining quality of life can be problematic as it spans a wide range of social-economic domains. However, the definition used to define quality of life is essential to understanding its real-world implications. Jagat World defines quality of life as:

Access to life-transforming opportunities

The multidimensional nature of quality of life requires the use of indicators to assess a community’s needs. Jagat World uses six quality of life indicators: Family life, Community life, Health, Education, Material well-being, and Job security.

Hypothesis Testing:

We conduct hypothesis testing to understand the needs of the area. Our hypotheses are used to identify a set of indicators which properly reflect the targeted community. To achieve accurate results, several statistical tools are used to tabulate and interpret the data. These tools assist in developing a regression equation which forms the basis of our quality of life research.

Realizing each community is unique, along with hypothesis testing, Jagat World conducts quality of life assessments. Subjective notions of the “good life” are important clues to a community’s quality of life objectives. Through surveys and interviews, we begin to uncover a community’s subjective view of the “good life”.
